ABOUT ME
The Name
Having strung color across a page for the past ten years simply for fun as a child, I realize how much I really do enjoy it. Painting is creative, extravagant, and my favorite use of time.Imago Dei Art is my chosen title for a couple of reasons. The first and primary being that I am made in the image of God, and only because of that am I able to create anything beautiful. He has formed beautiful things, and I, being shaped in His image, have the gift to paint with color and style. The second reason is because of His grace upon my life in everything, that I MUST choose a name that glorifies Him. Soli Deo Gloria:)
ABOUT THE ART
Color, color, COLOR!!
I mainly would paint silhouettes of animals with colorful backdrops when younger, but it was not until late 2022 when I attempted painting a fox did I realized my passion for forming different creatures by way of color. After trying several other animals for friends, I took up my first large canvas and attempted a lion. It turned out better than I thought it would, and I recognized how much I loved all the colors, the creature, and the style. Since then, once or twice I tried my hand at separate styles, but it came to nought. Color is my strong suit. It’s what I love. I hope others do as well. So now, my paintings range from faces, mystical and actual creatures, and an occasional sky. Each with blotches of bright pinks and blues and yellows. With much enjoyment, I spread paint over a canvas and thank God for the gift He has given me.
